The fine print

MOVEMENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Movements Group Limited (Trading as Movements)
Effective from: 1 January 2026

By registering, booking, purchasing a membership or drop-in session, or participating in any class or activity with Movements Group Limited ("Movements", "we", "us", "our"), you ("you", "your") agree to be legally bound by the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Membership and Access

Access to services requires an active membership, class pass, class pack, or drop-in purchase.

Memberships, passes, and credits are strictly non-transferable and may only be used by the registered member.

We reserve the right to verify identity at any time.

2. Booking and Cancellation Policy

All classes must be booked in advance via our designated booking platform (currently Glowfox) or another approved method.

Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours before the scheduled start time.

Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a £5 fee.

Members with 3 or more late cancellations/no-shows within a 14-day period may have booking privileges suspended.

3. Late Arrival

Late entry is not permitted once class has started.

Arriving after the scheduled start time will be treated as a no-show.

4. Payments, Refunds & Credits

All payments are strictly non-refundable except where required by law.

We do not issue cash refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Non-attendance

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Dissatisfaction

  • Unused membership time

  • Early termination of fixed-term agreements

Where we agree to make an exception, this will be issued as studio credit only, at our sole discretion. Credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing.

5. Fixed-Term Memberships

12-month and annual memberships are non-cancellable during the contracted period unless required by law.

Early termination may result in:

  • Payment of the remaining contract balance; or

  • A cancellation fee at our discretion.

Rolling memberships require 7 days’ notice prior to the next billing cycle.

6. Membership Freeze

Freeze requests must be submitted in writing with at least 7 days’ notice.

Freezes are granted at our discretion and typically limited to 1–3 months for medical, travel, or maternity reasons.

Supporting documentation may be required.

7. Studio Conduct

Members must behave respectfully towards staff, instructors, and other members.

Unsafe, inappropriate, abusive, intimidating, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership or access without refund.

8. Protection of Business & Staff Relationships

Movements operates as a team-based studio.

During an active membership period, members must not directly or indirectly solicit, engage, or attempt to engage Movements instructors or staff for private training or fitness services outside of Movements where this conflicts with the instructor’s agreement with Movements.

Members must not knowingly participate in arrangements that undermine Movements’ contractual relationships.

Where we reasonably believe such activity has occurred, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership or access without refund.

9. Right to Refuse Service

Movements reserves the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate access at its reasonable discretion where necessary to protect the business, staff, members, or studio environment.

Where termination arises due to breach of these Terms, no refund will be issued.

10. Health & Safety

You confirm you are physically fit to participate.

You must inform staff of any relevant medical conditions.

You agree to follow all safety instructions.

11. Class Schedule & Changes

Class schedules, instructors, formats, and services may change at any time.

We may cancel sessions for operational reasons.

Such changes do not constitute grounds for refund.

12. Third-Party Systems

We use third-party platforms (including booking and payment systems).

We are not liable for temporary technical issues relating to third-party providers.

Where technical issues arise, alternative access methods (such as manual check-in) may be provided. Technical issues do not constitute grounds for refund.

13. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

If purchased online, you have 14 days to cancel for a refund, provided no services have been used.

If any class has been attended or booked within the 14-day period, the right to a refund is forfeited.

14. Photography & Media

We may take photographs or video for marketing purposes.

If you do not wish to appear, notify us in writing prior to attendance.

15. Privacy & Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal data is used for booking, communication, and internal operations.

Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for service disruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control.

17. Minors

Participants under 18 require written parental consent.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
